Jordan B. Rickards appointed as Ethics Board Attorney of the Township of Old Bridge
The Township of Old Bridge Ethical Standards Board voted to appoint Jordan B. Rickards to become the new Board Attorney at their April 13, 2016 meeting. The Ethics Board consists of six members, appointed by the Township Council, tasked with investigating and ruling on allegations of violations of the Township Ethics Code (established under chapter 145 of Code of the Township of Old Bridge) by officers and employees serving Old Bridge, and providing training and advisory opinions on ethical conduct to officers and employees serving the Township. The Township Ethics Code was established “to provide a method of assuring that standards of ethical conduct and financial disclosure requirements for officers and employees of the Township of Old Bridge shall be clear, consistent, uniform in their application, enforceable, and to provide those officers or employees with advice and information concerning possible conflicts of interests which might arise in the conduct of their public duties.”
Jordan B. Rickards has been practicing law for over 11 years, having worked for the Attorney General of New Jersey, the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. He is the owner / operator of The Law Office of Jordan B. Rickards, Esq., LLC, a private practice focusing on criminal, personal injury, and family matters. He is also the public defender of the Borough of South River and of the Township of East Brunswick.
